Enterprise agents need trusted context, but data rarely lives in one system. The expanded Salesforce and Databricks partnership aims to narrow that gap by allowing data and models to work across platforms without creating unnecessary copies.
A Zero Copy approach keeps information at its source and provides governed access when needed. This can reduce synchronization, delay and inconsistency. Federated identity and shared policies help preserve who can see, query and act on each data set.
The integration also brings discovery closer to execution. A team can find data and models in the analytical environment and apply that context in CRM workflows and agents. Value emerges when an answer does more than inform and triggers the correct process with traceability.
Open architecture does not remove governance work. Catalogs, quality, semantic meaning and ownership remain necessary. Zero Copy solves movement; it does not automatically solve clarity or trust.
